TOWER5 is re-teaming with Spotted Productions for the 3rd time to bring supernatural drama GRIM REAPER BARBER to the big screen. We've enjoyed previous success together with YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING (2024) and YOYOGI JOHNNY (2025).

For the first time, we're partnering with Pony Canyon, one of Japan's leading film, music, video, and game distributors. The film features the theme song "Taiyo ni Naretara" by Furui Riho on the Pony Canyon label. Pony Canyon is part of the Fuji Media Holdings Group including Fuji TV.

Directed by veteran Shinji Imaoka and written by Kouhei Taniguchi, the cast is led by leading lady Hinako Sakurai and budding J-Pop start KANON with support from Masaru Okabe, Amon Hirai, Kenta Izuka, Haruka Kudo and the comedy duo Peanuts Boys.

SHINIGAMI BARBER is slated for theatrical release in Summer 2026.

スクリーンへと描き出す。

私たちは、『冗談じゃないよ』（2024年）から始まり

『代々木ジョニーの憂鬱な放課後』（2025年）へと繋がった、

高評価とヒットを両立する強力なパートナーシップをさらに

継続させていきます。

今回は、日本を代表する音楽出版社である

ポニーキャニオンも加わることになりました。

名匠·いまおかしんじ監督と脚本の谷口恒平がタッグを

組み、主題歌にはポニーキャニオンから

Furui Rihoの「太陽になれたら」を起用。

キャストには主演の桜井日奈子に加え、

注目のJ-POPスター、日隠（KANON）を迎え、

本作を華やかに彩る。

TOWER5 will co-produce Ririko Masuzawa's debut feature film PANSIES DON'T CRY based on an original story by renowned manga artist KIMIKO.

This marks our 4th time partnering with Spotted Productions. Our joint team has produced multiple critically and commercially successful films, starting with YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME (2024) and continuing with YOYOGI JOHNNY (2025) and SHINIGAMI BARBER (2026).

PANSIES DON'T CRY follows Mamiko, a young career woman learning to live within her own skin through the ups and downs of romance. It explores themes frequently covered in KIMIKO's manga around the hope of romantic dreams and the sorrow of unrequited love. The artist has a large and loyal fanbase on social media with over 110,000 followers on X.

This is Masuzawa's first feature film, following on the heels of short films CAKE NI, ICE MO and WATSHI TO ANATA, HITORIKIRI.

The film shoots in March with a release targeted for 2027.

ヒットを飛ばしてきた作品群に続く、

待望の最新作となります。

『パンジーな私にハッピーエンドを』は、

恋愛の紆余曲折を経て、「ありのままの自分」

を受け入れていく等身大の女性·まみこの姿を

描いた物語です。本作では、夢を追い求める女性の

葛藤や、片思いの切なさなど、KIMIKO氏の漫画で

一貫して描かれてきたテーマを深く掘り下げています。

SNSでも絶大な支持を集めるKIMIKOさんは、

Xのフォロワー数が10万人を超えるなど、

多くのファンから愛され続けています。

本作は、短編映画『ケーキに、アイスも』や

『わたしとあなた、一人きり』を手がけてきた

増澤璃凜子監督の長編デビュー作となります。

撮影は3月に開始され、

2027年の公開を目指しています。

TIGER has been selected as the Official Closing Film of the 15th Annual MOOSIC Lab 2026. This marks the first time the film has been publicly shown in Japan.

The festival is a months long celebration of movies and music together, hosted by Spotted Productions. It features many of Japan's up-and-coming filmmakers and musicians who are headlining the news.

The screening is February 26 at 8PM at Uplink Kichijoji. It will be followed by a moderated Q&A with key cast and crew members including lead actor Takashi Kawaguchi, music and theme song creators Tyler MacBeth and Mora Moth, and producer Michael Carrier.

上映は2月26日20:00より、アップリンク吉祥寺に

て行われます。上映終了後には、主演の川口高志、

Mora Moth、そしてプロデューサーの

Michael Carrierら主要キャスト·スタッフが

登壇し、Q&Aセッションを行う予定です。

The Entertainment Technology Center is a think tank and R&D lab established in 1993 with the help of USC alumni George Lucas.
